What is a Working Holiday Visa?

Program Requirements To be eligible for the Working Holiday Visa program, you must meet the following requirements
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be a citizen of a country that has a bilateral youth mobility agreement with Canada
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 35 (inclusive) at the time of application
- You must have a valid passport for the duration of your stay in Canada
- You must have proof of sufficient funds to support your initial stay in Canada
- You must have health insurance for the duration of your stay in Canada
- You must not be accompanied by dependents.
Application Process:
- Check eligibility: Before applying, check if you meet the eligibility requirements for the program.
- Apply online: Submit your application through the International Experience Canada (IEC) portal online. You will need to create an account and provide your personal information and other supporting documents.
- Wait for an invitation: Once you have submitted your application, you will need to wait for an invitation to apply. Invitations are sent out regularly, but there is no guarantee that you will receive one.
- Accept the invitation and apply for a work permit: If you receive an invitation to apply, you will need to accept it within 10 days and apply for a work permit. You will need to provide additional information and pay the relevant fees.
- Wait for the work permit: Once you have submitted your work permit application, you will need to wait for it to be processed. Processing times can vary, so it is important to apply as early as possible.
- Travel to Canada: If your work permit application is approved, you can travel to Canada and start working.
